FINANCIAL FRIDAY!

In Exodus 23:1 it states, "Do not spread false reports. Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness." Although this is speaking to how we handle others, consider applying this to yourself. In order to be successful, especially with finances you have to Stop The Lies!

As mentioned before, stewardship of money is 80% behavioral and 20% arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, & fractions). In order to achieve financial goals, you have to go beyond talking and be real with your actions.

How often have you or someone you know said I'm going to make "X" amount of dollars. But their actions are not congruent with those words, i.e. they show up to work late, have not started the business they were suppose to, won't figure out how to go to school, etc. This, in short, is lying to yourself!

When it comes to managing money unfortunately, the same habits prevail. You may know you shouldn't buy something but you tell yourself a lie and do it.

Once you're honest with yourself you'll find planning and executing your financial plan is more effective. So please, stop the lies and choose Faith Over Fear for your Finances.
