It's a week before Christmas and most people are thinking about last minute Christmas shopping. Last minute shopping can cause desperation which can lead to extra spending. Before you spend like crazy have you thought about your life after Christmas?

If you loaded up last minute gifts on credit or loans, how is your January going to look? You'll probably have bills plus paying off Christmas debt. Was it worth it?

Before you go into debt for Christmas gifts, think about your life after Christmas. Debt may bring on quick happiness on Christmas but it can leave you with months of sorrow trying to pay back the "Christmas Joy". Due to interest from the borrowed money, you are paying back more than you spent.

My advice, stay away from borrowed money to buy Christmas gifts. If you need to, be creative! Make a gift or use a skill you have to give to someone. Money doesn't always have to be spent to give. Remember, there is life after Christmas.
